Hobbs Hill (1:40 Folkestone) Clocked a big figure over hurdles for me last year, and has followed that up with a solid run on his debut over fences. The horse he beat was Modicum who's a smart animal in his own right (handicapped by Rose Davidson). That was over two miles and this extra trip he will come into his own. They pulled 43L clear of the useful Medison that day and with Modicum not in the field, Hobbs Hill can comprehensively smash his rivals here albeit at short odds.
