5.10 Nottingham 16 runners lining up for the last race here, a Class 4 handicap over 1m2f. Shela House should be a warm order but way too short to be backing in this field so I'm opposing with: Pagan Sword (RPF 14/1) - Down 3lb, now back on its last winning mark of 82. Also dropped right back in grade, down from a 62K handicap in Class 2 grade to Class 4 race worth 5K. Running consistently over its favourite trip today, apprentice jockey (who has ridden it many times previously) is done away with. Likes to be held up in its race and generally travels well. Seemingly has lots of positives today, including trip, race class and mark. Stable has excellent strike rate at this course, and this is the trainers only runner here today. Track should suit too. Fully expect this race to be in the shake up, and could easily take this at a price.

Re: Nottingham - Wed 10/10/07 1.40 Non runners all over the place but the one I like is Equuleus Pictor e.w. Currently at a double figure price. On its last few runs you will wonder why but if you go back to the win a few starts ago in todays conditions it looked like it could follow up and a bit of juice in the ground could see this one nick a place if not better.
