The October League begins on Monday 8th October involving 15 tournaments with a seat for GUKPT Leg 10 in Blackpool and a whole host of other prizes available. The September league has now finished, October’s poker league begins on Monday 8th October. Please note that there is a change to the schedule and we have decided to run league events from Monday to Thursday and then rather than Friday the fifth weekly tournament will now be on Sunday. In each tournament there are points down to 20th place as shown below so it’s beneficial to take part in as many as possible. The league table will be regularly updated so be sure to check the site to see how you are faring. At the end of event 15 the player that has accumulated the most points and tops the league will win a package to the GUKPT Blackpool worth $2500. Once more this month we will see who has skill (and luck!) to top the tables at the end. Good luck. The top finishers in the following tournaments will be awarded Poker League points: Monday 8.15pm$10 NL Hold’em Freezeout $200 Added Tuesday 8.15pm$5 NL Hold’em Rebuy $100 Added Wednesday 8.15pm$15 PL Hold’em Freezeout $300 Added Thursday 8.15pm$5 PL Omaha Rebuy $100 Added Sunday 8.15pm$25 NL Holdem $500 Added Points will be awarded for the top finishers in each event as follows: 1st 13pts2nd 10pts3rd9pts4th8pts5th7pts6th6pts7th5pts8th4pts9th3pts10th 2pts11th - 20th 1ptThe Prizes 1st Seat to Leg 9 of The GUKPT in Blackpool’s Grosvenor Casino + expenses worth a total of $2500 2nd $500 3rd $250 4th $100Upon the conclusion of Event 15 after 3 weeks of intense competition the players finishing 2nd to 21st in the league table will be invited to take part in a special freeroll where a further seat to the GUKPT Blackpool will be up for grabs. And even more still… If any player manages 4 top 3 finishes in any given week (Monday-Sunday) then they will receive a further $200 consistency bonus! Terms & Conditions Exclusive BSQ Tournament Access 1. Players participating in the each of the 15 Blue Square Classic League tournaments from Monday 8th October to Sunday 28th October will earn points towards the league. Points are awarded as follows: 1st - 13 pts, 2nd - 10 pts, 3rd 9 pts, 4th - 8 pts, 5th - 7 pts, 6th - 6 pts, 7th - 5 pts, 8th - 4 pts, 9th 3 pts, 10th 2pts 11th –20th – 1pt 2. The tournaments that count towards the league are the 15 Blue Square League events taking place between Monday 8th October to Sunday 28th October on bluesqpoker.com at 8.15pm BST Daily. 3. The winner will receive a seat into the GUKPT Leg 10 Blackpool and places 2 to 4th will win the prize money as stated. 4. In the event of any ties, the player with the greatest number of final table finishes over all 15 events will be receiving the Package. If players are still tied then a countback of 1st places, 2nd places etc for each player will be made until a winner is confirmed. 5. Players finishing in positions 2-21 will also be invited to take part in a GUKPT freeroll which will take place on Sunday 4th November at 6pm. 6. In the event of a tie for 21st place, all the players tied for 21st place will be invited to take part in the Freeroll. In such an event, the number of players participating in the Freeroll may exceed twenty. 7. The prizes are not refundable, exchangeable or transferable 8. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time. 9. No correspondence will be entered into. 10. DrDevious Posted October 8, 2007 Share Posted October 8, 2007 Re: Blue Square League - October These tend to be great value events, all the 15 tournaments that contribute to the league have relatively low buy ins and all have added or guaranteed prize money. The league tends to attratct 70 or so runners in the first tournament but if you continue to play about 40 a day. When you bear in mind there is also a playoff at the end of the league for a $2100 seat to the GUKPT for the top 20 in the standings it's gotta be worth a pop.
