Recommended Posts

Just going to keep track of my record at these over a month or two to see if its anyway profitable - I dont expect it to be to be honest but lets see!! I dont win many of these but 1 win in every 4 should see me about break even.. ($1 loss). Win is $21 - 2nd is $9 Ive started with a $110 bank to allow for 20 games at $5 + 50c I will post a record after every 20 games directly from my Paddy Power account details I will also be playing a fairly aggressive style in Super Turbo mode

Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker

you played 20 SnG's in 42 minutes ??
:lol:lol:lol nah mate - times are listed! ;) 21 SnG's in 2 and a half hours - Not the greatest rate of investment either but I didnt expect it. I usually play about 400 or so of these in a month and have never really tracked them before. only found out yesterday that you could list all your results like this on I-Poker so have decided to see if im wasting my time. I only ever really play here or Paradise and at the moment I have no feel for Paradise. When I lose my feel here I will move back to them. Problem here is payout is 2 from 6 and Paradise is 2 from 5. 99% of players here play regular games but for some reason I prefer Turbos

Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker Adding 10 more to bring the total up to 50 SnG's. Think i am wasting my time now... Some absolute shocking calls although in fairness I did hand out one sickening bad beat with 2,2 v A,A. Not too sure what to make of it really. My strength is in Super Turbo but its letting me down especially in heads up but I usually go into those as a 4/1 against as I tend to sit back and let others play unless I can limp on SB or BB or I push with any pair over 7,7 or Ak,AQ or A,J suited or not!! Anyway - Far too early yet to make assumptions :lol:lol:lol Its only about 9 hours wasted!! :rollin First 50 SnG's No of Wins...... 8 Returns - $168 No of 2nd's...... 10 Returns - $90 Total Buy-ins - $275 Total Returns - $258 Profit to Date - -$17

Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker Changed the plan a little and moved up to the $10+$1 Turbos because there was simply no believing the standard I witnessed today. The standard at this level is better and suits my game more. Played 3 so far but results are much better. Hopefully this is not a flash in the pan.

Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker Huge difference in standard here. Even my 2 x 6th place finishes went down to the wire and I eventually got blinded out. Just simply didnt get playable hands. This level suits my "sit tight until late and then attack" style. Plus, If consistant enough it will certainly give a better return for hours spent :lol First 70 SnG's No of Wins...... 13 Returns - $336 No of 2nd's...... 12 Returns - $153 Total Buy-ins - $440 Total Returns - $488 Profit to Date - +$48

Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker Hi frisky, well done on being up so far:ok. Can I just ask about the 2 plays that you're posted up as being really bad - what was wrong with them? I'm learning poker at the moment and have played a few turbos, and I know I have a massive amount to learn, because I don't see what's wrong with either of them. First one, it's costing him 400 to win the 1600. So he needs at least 20% to win the hand. You're very short and could be pushing with anything, he could even be ahead. You having an overpair is pretty close to worst case scenario (and not very likely) and even so he has around 16% to win. Also the positives of knocking you out on the bubble and it barely hurts his big stack. If he wins then he is a very big stack heads up. Surely only a complete moron would fold? Second one, the re-raise on the turn is small, I agree it's a bit silly. But don't you see the river as a very scary card, giving straight and flush possibilities. It might look a bit strange if he put in a big bet on the river after the small one on the turn. Looking at the hand history aren't you playing this one really passively? Thanks for clearing these up,as I don't get it:unsure:ok

I HOPE he was joking :ok Certainly the first one - it was a no brainer, his opponent HAD to call him - I haven't looked at the 2nd ;)

Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker Sorry - I didn't mean that to sound quite as short as it did :$ THe reason that the other guy had to call frisky was because of the odds on offer :ok It was costing him 300 to win 2000 - he was getting almost 7-1 on his money - very few hands are anywhere near that far behind, and no hand was anywhere near that far behind against the range of cards that frisky could make that move with....

Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker :loon:loon a comment on the thread!! No, seriously mate - I was really only joking. Simply because I kept getting called by 2,9 3,8, 6,2 etc etc and kept losing with every hand (usually with runner, runner cards) so it was tongue in cheek really. More a moan about how the system was throwing up cards..The second one has me stumped. He tried a re-raise when behind and I called him. He caught his two pair on the river and then DIDNT bet strong. Either he gave me too much respect or just wanted an extra 60 chips but TBH in Super Turbo - You try to MAX every hand you hit as its 1 minute blinds. Anyway - A much better evening session tonight including clearing a table to win in 11 hands - Must be a kind of record (5 of which I folded) and 1 of those I would have taken 2 out , 3 hands earlier than I did :lol:lol:lol Must be seen to be believed... Game length was 5.54 :eek:eek First 90 SnG's No of Wins...... 17 Returns - $504 No of 2nd's...... 17 Returns - $243 Total Buy-ins - $660 Total Returns - $747 Profit to Date - +$87

I cashed out Paddy Power for the time being and took my $87 profit and moved to Paradise - $87 is equal to €62.36 I cant find a way of copying my Tourny history here like I can with I-poker so I'll just stick up a small spreadsheet. Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker I think that you'll do fine on Paradise, Frisky. I have been playing these quite a lot recently at both €3 and €5, and the play is not great. A couple of things that I have noticed: They overplay early doors with virtually any playable hand. I found you could sit back, wait for a good hand, and you'll get action. Towards the bubble, they revert to playing uber-tight, any raise is folded unless they have the goods. Heads-up, most of them are fairly clueless. I posted an example in GaF's thread where a guy folded to my raises every hand and dropped from 2500 to 600 (100/200 blinds). Be aggressive here, and you'll win more than you'll lose. Good Luck mate:ok

Exactly how I see it - God, some of the play is TERIBLE at €5 level. As I mentioned before, sitting back or all out attack is my way of play. I have noticed that before the blinds reach 50/100 there is normally at least 1 out and 1 struggling at they will virtually push with anything. Thanks again for the comments mate:ok. One question though, what the hell are FPP's for ??? :unsure:unsure:unsure

Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker Wow!! That was an amazing morning session and it cant possibly stay that way!!! As mentioned above, some terrible play, although I did dish out the bad beat of the century earlier when low stacked I pushed with 3,2o for about 400. Naturally, the chip leader called.... With AA :$:$:$ Flopped 2,8,2 and he got no more help :lol:lol Not many happy people left at the table after that!! I doubled up and then went on to win that one. Actually, came across a $valia$23$ at the tables but was not too sure if it was our own PORT VALE fan or not - Dont think so but...... Re: Frisky's Turbo + Super Turbo tracker Ok - Thats me done for a while as Im not getting it together at all. Have had 4 seconds and at least 2 I should have won but didnt get the rub of the green. A bad run of 4 games without placing and only winning 20% of heads - up cost me my profit from this session. :(:(:(:( After 130 SNG's No. Wins...... 27Returns - €530 No. 2nd's...... 29 Returns - €261 Total Buy-ins - €700 Total Returns - €791 Profit to Date - +€91
