Re: Leicester 24/09 5.30 Leicester 12 runners expected to line up for this Class 5 handicap over 1m. Open race and difficult to rule many out so I'll be chancing a double figure priced horse in: Rubenstar (RPF 10/1) - Mark Tompkins' only runner today and has a good chance here. Races off a mark of 73 today, having won off both 74 & 75 in the past. Looks to be coming to hand with 2 decent runs on its last 2 starts, despite not being drawn ideal. 1m trip suits, despite having only won up to 7f. Now dropped in grade to Class 5 which could be a significant point, as is the jockey booking of Jimmy Quinn. Is drawn much better today too and has its ground also. Goes well at this time of year and looks an eyecatching EW bet at the price.
