It is from the in form Cumani stable (had a 10-1 winner at Lingfield 18/09/07) and his horses seem to be improving with every run. It also has a top jockey on board in Seb Sanders who will want this one to add to his tally for the jockey’s championship. It ran a great race over 10f here at Yarmouth behind Yaqeen in a listed race on good to firm. It then boiled over before the next race at Goodwood over 12f and had already lost before the stalls opened when it got worked up. It was beaten by Regal Flush, which has just finished 4^th in the St Leger so that form looks pretty good. It returned to Goodwood and won a 10f listed race on good ground, beating Cliché, Russian Rosie, Ronaldsay, Flying Clarets and Measured Tempo just to name a few. RP analysis after the race stated: Quote:

"She put in a long, strong run down the outside and was powering clear in the final strides, which had connections pointing the way to a step up in trip."

There are 8 three year olds in the field of 14 runners and from the last 9 meetings of this race there have been six 3 year old winners but only 2 winning favourites. Samira Gold fits the profile as one of these 3 year olds and looks to be improving all the time, looking more than capable of winning again at listed level. Only two horses from the last 9 years have carried more than 9 stone to victory and Samira Gold carries 8stone 13lbs today.
