Richard Fahey has been in cracking form of late and he had 2 nice winners at the weekend. He sends the selection down to Beverley to contest this tough handicap. On fore the horse should struggle but Fahey’s horses tend to improve when the stable is firing. A big price looks too tasty.

Hurstpierpoint (Each Way)

Again, trainer form is a major reason why I looked at this one. However, it does look as if this is a bit of a Fahey special. She was outpaced in her first two runs over 6f. She was then stepped up to 7f for 2 runs and never got competitive. However, she showed signs of promise last time when staying on in a similar race. The winner of that looks a decent sort and this might be a good Each Way selection with stable jock Paul Hanagan back on board.
