Greece to win -14 (1.89 @ 10bet) Greece and Spain are probably the strongest teams at EuroBasket. Greece is missing Fotsis, but that won't be such a big blow for them. Their players are very self-assured and that with reason: they are defending champions and silver from the last WC. Israel is the last team that qualified for EuroBasket and the weakest team here. To qualify, they have beaten Bosnia and FYRM. This should be an easy task for the Greek team: they are openning against the weakest possible side. Isreal will fight untill the end, but I don't expect them to get anywhere near the Greek side. Greece will be warned by the two facts:

1. They've opened last WC against outsider Qatar and were shockingly 10 points behind in the first quarter. They've won in the end, but (hopefully) learned not to let the guard down in the openning matches.
2. In last six EuroBaskets, crown defenders lost 3 openning matches and Greece should be very carefull not to fall into those statistics.

Re: Eurobasket07 Espana, 03/09 Slovenia - Italy Pick: Under 149 @ 1.935 Portugal - Spain Portugal +25.5 @ 1.98 ----- Croatia - Latvia if you get better hcp on Latvia that 12 points i think its worth a try Both Slovenias and Italian coach said that the defence is the key to the win in this one. Pipan (Slovenias coach) just loves to play defensive type of basket - check the results of Slo national team in previous champs and youll know what im talking about. It is a game of two strenghts imo, Italians are sharpshooters, they just love to put the ball in from perimeter, on the other side Slovenia will have advantage under the rims. Spain should beat Portugese comfortably, but this spread is just to high. these two played preparation game few weeks ago and Spaniards won by some 12 points. But true, if they want to, they can cover, but i guess after the comfortable lead they will want to relax a bit and take it easy. Afterall its a long tournament - also Portugese are no such punks for giving them 25 points advantage. As far the Latvia pick goes, its maybe more of an bet against Croatia , as theyre playing totally umpredictable atm. Also lots of key players out for this champs, and they have only 1 centre with international experiences, while other 3 are pretty young, but yes, tall players indeed. Latvians do have a tenedency to overachieve at these tournaments. I remember few years ago, when in first game vs later cahmps Lithuania, they managed to take the game in overtime..and they might repeat that here, despite results vs. croatia not going their way. all smallish
