throw ins I thought the bookies would have learned their lesson from when the spead firms were doing their "time of first throw in" spreads. In case you didn't hear, there was some fuss when a team took the kick off and booted it straight out of play. Seems they'd had a couple of quid on the spread themselves. If you do insist on punting on this market, here's a couple of tips. 1. Always back the team with the least number of vowels in their name. 2. Onedunme Time of first throw in - Man Utd v W Ham last game of the season, W Ham take centre, one player passes it to Paul Kitson who adjusts his feet and boots the ball straight from the centre circle out over the wing for a throw in. Time elapsed, about 3 secs!! Never ever proved but suspicions weren't dampned by the fact that W Hams manager was no other than "like a punt, owns horses, writes a betting column" Harry Redknapp!!

Re: Onedunme its usualy a case of whoever kicks off, the other team will get the first throw cos they just boot it down the wing and it goes out of play. Bit of a stupid bet if you ask me, no thinking involved. Save your quid and buy a lottery ticket with it cos you've proberly got the same chance of winning that with a much bigger profit!
