InsidePoker magazine has teamed up with Ladbrokespoker.com to bring you the best series of Sunday night freerolls in the second installment of their popular PokerGod competition. PokerGod II gives you the chance to win thousands of dollars absolutely free, and this year we’ve added a special twist. Here’s how it works… Every month, for the next five months, there will be two Sunday night freeroll tournaments. The first tournament each month will be a standard No-Limit Texas Hold'em event. However the second tournament each month will test you in a variety of different Hold'em formats, from deep-stack and pot limit to short-handed and turbos. Each freeroll will have a $500 prizepool shared between the top ten. The winner of each freeroll will also win a seat in the PokerGod II online final, where there will be $13,500-worth of packages for the Ladbrokes Poker Cruise III up for grabs. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Finish in the top 30 in an event, and you will receive points according to your placing. These will be recorded on the PokerGod II leaderboard. Furthermore, the second freeroll each month will be for double points! At the end of the five months, the top 30 players on our leaderboard will also win a seat in the PokerGod II online final, giving us our 40 PokerGod II finalists. The PokerGod II final will be a private online MTT just for these 40 people. When we reach the final ten players, the game will be frozen and the final table will be played live at the Ladbrokes Casino in Paddington, London. There they will battle it out for $13,500-worth of packages to the Ladbrokes Poker Cruise III, and the coveted title of PokerGod. So do you have what it takes to be this year’s PokerGod? The first tournaments are on the 12th of August and the 19th of August at 19:00, with this month’s special variety for the second tournament being short-handed play. Registration for these tournaments will open 24 hours in advance, and passwords will be published in InsidePoker magazine (WSOP issue). Updated leaderboards will be also published in InsidePoker magazine each month, along with a strategy article from one of the Team Ladbrokes poker pros, with advice on how to play the special varieties – this month, Poker Million V winner Rajesh Modha shares his thoughts on short-handed tournaments. Re: Inside Poker Magazine PokerGod II Congrats to fenners and MCFC for making the final table of the first one. Some bloke called Alex Ross also made it to second place I see. So near... Double points special this Sunday, and six-handed format. Should be fun. Cheers Alun
