BIGFANOFTHAT was making his racecourse bow and when given a reminder to go about his business, he knuckled down to the task in the closing stages and kept on well. He is expected to improve a deal for the run, so there should be better to come.

A very tricky race with many horses still being inexperienced and could be anything from classic winners to absolute donkeys but this horse should suit the step up in trip, is the stables only runner and it has been sent 202 miles for this. Won on good to firm 1st time out. Currently available at 16-1, big price in my opinion. King Of Argos 2.35 Newmarket Only for those who have not lost all faith in Jamie Spencer, it's about 11-1 so he'll probably win on this and get turned over on a 4-5fav. The horse needs to be held up and delivered with a late run which will suit Spencers racing style and he has done well with this horse previously. Won last time out over 1m in a class 2 race and drops to 7f today, interesting to see if 7f suits. Won off 95 lto in same class and only raised 3lbs. It's chances will depend on Spencer's late run and getting the necessary gaps. Hellvelyn 3.10 Newmarket If I offered you 50-1 for a Group 2 winner, placed at Group 1 and winner over this trip you'd probably bite my hand off. That's exactly what we have here. Won well at Ascot in 2006 beating Major Cadeaux and Holy Roman Emperor and then had form reversed with the latter in a Group 1 race in Ireland. Travels well and has a touch of class that makes 50-1 seem ridiculous. Reported to have been working well at home, back after a long break and may need the run but is best on firm ground and has a real chance at a massive price. It will not be 50-1 by race time. Al Muheer 4.20 Newmarket Some decent sorts in this that have already got their head in front but I'm going to take a small ew on this one in the hope it improves for the step up in trip. It has placed at the track and also at listed level and has to carry top weight. 3rd of 7 on it's debut on good to firm and worth a small ew at around 14-1. Needs to put its last disappointing run behind it. Hernando Royal 4.55 Newmarket Still quite progressive and was a good winner on the all weather. 5th of 16 last time out in a decent class 2 race and goes off same mark. Runs off highest ever mark and unproven on the ground but can go close with a slight drop in class and decent jockey on board. Low draw might be an advantage and should be available to take ew at about 16-1.

Re: Newmarket ~ 13/07/07 1.30. A few stand out notably at prices Tybalt and Yaroslav e.w. Tybalt has some good form at times behind the likes of Zaham and even in its two year old days Adagio. It has also possibly been unlucky in running especially LTO when down the field against Tobosa. Looks a nice price. Yaroslav has a lot to find on the back of its last run but again prior to that had some nice form especially when fourth in Diamond's Tycoon win at Newbury. 2.35 I like the Gay Kelleway pair Fajr and Vortex e.w. Both of whom ran good races at Ascot. Fajr was second at Ascot and possibly a touch unlucky and followed that up with a good run behind Silver Touch and Major Cadeaux and that is decent form. Vortex ran a blinder at Ascot from a low draw in the Hunt Cup. Dropping to 7f should not pose a great problem and it has solid form before that and again could be a big price.
