3.55 - GAME LAD - Again it's the state of the ground that dictates the selection for this 7f Handicap. With the forecast being SOFT/HEAVY in places that should go in our selections favour as it's record on SOFT going is 1st , 1st , 6th [ drawn 20 in that race, first 3 were drawn 1 , 2 + 6 !!] It's 3 career wins have been at 7f , so theres no probs on that score . Has had 4 runs this season , but all on ground that was GOOD or FIRMER [ 1 on AW] and was , interestingly , backed down to favourite on it's last run at Newmarket [GD] where it was 9th ,btn 6l. It has dropped in the Handicap from 91 [ it's last win ] to 81 ; has won rated 84. One drawback is the fact that is has not won below Class 4 , although was only btn 3/4l into 3rd spot in a Class 2 event at Newmarket. :hope the ground is the key.
