Hedonist
I have just received the following message from Sky poker: From Tuesday 26th June you will be required to enter your card security code, also known as CV2, when depositing funds into your account. Your CV2 number is comprised of the last 3 numbers found on the signature strip on the back of your card. This measure is being introduced following a banking mandate which requires all online merchants to request and verify the customer's CV2 number every time funds are transferred from debit or credit cards. We appreciate this may cause some inconvenience for which we can only apologise, but as with all other online operators we are required to implement this by the banks in an effort to reduce the possibility of card fraud. To enhance customer security for online internet transactions even further we will also be implementing 3D secure transaction processing. Over the next few months most major banks will participate in this scheme. If your bank is a participating bank, when you deposit funds into your account you will be automatically connected to your card issuer, so that you can confirm the transaction by using a password known only to you and your card company. This helps to ensure that your card cannot be used fraudulently.

Sir Puntalot
Re: Message from Sky re banking. All bookies will have to have a 3D pin system installed by the latest January, but a lot by September.
