Re: WSOP 50k H.O.R.S.E ....updated now day 5, final table OOOH!! As the game switches to razz whilst they have a 15 minute break... Official Chip Counts Seat 3 - Bruno Fitoussi - 6,610,000 Seat 4 - John Hanson - 5,095,000 Seat 5 - Freddy Deeb - 3,095,000 I'm kinda rooting for Hanson now purely for monetary reasons. If I didn't have a bet on this I'd be rooting for Bruno as he's a European.

Re: WSOP 50k H.O.R.S.E ....updated now day 5, final table

Fitoussi seems to have regained momentum. Hanson and Deeb maybe winning hands but it's Fitoussi who seems to be winning the most important ones.
Well, not in the next hand. Hand #237 - Freddy Deeb Wins a 3.2 Million Pot Hand #237 - (7 Card Stud) Bruno Fitoussi: qc.gifqd.gif7d.gif3h.gif John Hanson: 6d.gif Freddy Deeb: 3s.gif3c.gif8c.gifkc.gif 3rd: Deeb brings it in for 50,000, Fitoussi completes to 180,000, and Deeb calls. 4th: Both players pair up. Fitoussi rechecks his own cards, and quickly shakes his head. He takes a drink from a styrofoam coffee cup, and then picks up a few chips as he continues to study Deeb's cards, standing the entire time. He counts out the size of the bet, and has his hands on the chips as if he's ready to call. Deeb is sitting still, with his eyes darting around the table to look at the cards and Fitoussi. After about three minutes, Fitoussi calls. Deeb shows 3-x-x for trip threes, and Fitoussi shows A-A-x for two pair, aces and queens. Freddy Deeb wins the pot worth 3.2 million.

Re: WSOP 50k H.O.R.S.E ....updated now day 5, final table Thankfully I kept the bets I had at a fun level otherwise I'd be clicking on refresh over at PokerNews like a madman (mind you, I'm already doing that!). It was looking kinda inevitable that John Hanson was bleeding away and was probably going to be the one KOed into third place but then the pressure seems to be shifting back to Freddy Deeb. The only one who seems not to be suffering is Bruno Fitoussi. I'm having to root for Deeb and/or Hanson to get their act together to KO Fitoussi and it doesn't seem to be happening. Oh the humanity! :( Deeb and Hanson are going to clobber each other until one of 'em gets knocked out and Fitoussi will clean up what's left at this rate. :eyes Who here would have backed Bruno Fitoussi at 12/1!? :eek It's just as dramatic as last year but all it seems to be lacking is 'star power'. You have Deeb being theatrical (he appears to be the most vocal) and being a bit nitty (not moving out of his seat so John Hanson can get a better view of the tournameet clock and what not ~ not Deeb's fault as ESPN wouldn't move their cameraman out of Hanson's eyeline either and Hanson was overruled by the tournament director).

Re: WSOP 50k H.O.R.S.E ....updated now day 5, final table It really is a pick'em anyone's game type of affair...Hanson gets back in the game with this! Hand #274 - John Hanson Hand #274 - (Hold'em) Freddy Deeb has the button in seat 5, he raises to 400,000, Fitoussi calls from the small blind, and Hanson calls from the big blind. The flop comes 9d.gif7s.gif2s.gif, Fitoussi checks, Hanson bets 200,000, Deeb calls, and Fitoussi calls. The turn card is the ks.gif, Fitoussi checks, Hanson bets 400,000, Deeb folds, and Fitoussi checks out Hanson's stack to see how much he has left. (Hanson has about 490,000 behind right now.) Fitoussi thinks for about three minutes before he calls. The river card is the 10s.gif, Fitoussi checks, Hanson bets 400,000, and Fitoussi takes off his hat and says, "Wow." He studies the board a bit, and starts talking to Hanson, presumably to get a read. Fitoussi calls, and Hanson shows kh.gifqd.gif for a pair of kings with a queen kicker. Fitoussi mucks, and John Hanson wins the pot.

Re: WSOP 50k H.O.R.S.E ....updated now day 5, final table Oh well...my timing couldn't be worse (commentator's curse!) as the game moves to Omaha/8 or Better, the chip-counts are... Seat 3 - Bruno Fitoussi - 5,800,000 Seat 4 - John Hanson - 2,540,000 Seat 5 - Freddy Deeb - 6,530,000 EDIT: PokerNews adds... The 12th Hour We have reached the 12th hour of play. Remember when Thor Hansen was all in on the first hand and busted out?? If you do, you are a true die hard fan and have been following along with our coverage of the $50K HORSE final table for over a half a day. There are three players remaining, Bruno Fitoussi, John Hanson, and Freddy Deeb. All of them had held the chiplead at some point over the last twelve hours. Fitoussi had the largest margin over the other two players, but since then they have caught up as the lead changed hands several times. Although we don't expext this final table to last longer than the 2006 marathon of a final table, rest assured that we will be here providing coverage until the final hand.

Re: WSOP 50k H.O.R.S.E ....updated now day 5, final table Nothing much to report on apart from the chipcounts as they move onto Razz. Chip Counts Seat 3 - Bruno Fitoussi - 6,000,000 Seat 4 - John Hanson - 4,180,000 Seat 5 - Freddy Deeb - 4,690,000 Looks like my nightmare scenario is still on! :eek EDIT: PokerNews adds... Play Resumes w/Razz The players return from their break to start playing razz. If anything can wake these guys up ... well, it's not razz. The antes are big (50,000), the bring in is bigger (70,000), and the completion is outrageously high (250,000). The limits are 250,000-500,000. There is 220,000 in the pot before anybody acts. If someone completes on third street, and there is a bet on every street without raises, it costs 2,050,000 each to get to a showdown. ========== Not quite WPT final table/shove-and-hope tactics yet but we're getting gradually closer! :lol :rollin

Re: WSOP 50k H.O.R.S.E ....updated now day 5, final table The Edge? At this point, with the chips evenly dispersed among the players, does any of them hold an edge? Freddy Deeb might have the most experience and more impressive poker resume. Plus, the one thing that he might be able to do better than Joh Hanson is to be able to endure a long session that lasts until 5 or 6 o'clock in the morning. When poker players get tired, they tend to make bad decisions and that's the difference between third place and winning a bracelet in HORSE. Whoever is the least tired might be able to take advantage of the impatient and undisciplined play from their exhausted counterparts.
