Sunday EW Fancies

330 Stratford : The Bandit (14/1) NON RUNNER Toss up between this one and Wildbach in another Stratford race but finally plumped for this as the ground, the track, the trip and the weight are all in its favour and should not be this price. Rated 18lb more over fences so technically should be well in here, front runner on firm ground is perfect for Stratford, if it dont win i'll be amazed if its not placed.

Re: Sunday EW Fancies I'll have this instead then; 400 Stratford : Wildbach Right guys, one for the connoisseurs is this. Dont know what to make of it but will be worth watching with interest, as we know German trainer Von De Recke comes over from time to time with one or two horses and does very well, he trained this on the flat and over hurdles in Germany and ended up winning a couple of races before being sent over here but was put in the hands of another trainer (AE Jones). Started off over 3miles on heavy at Chepstow, pulled up. Then went out again just 7 days later and didnt run much better, again over a trip much further than it had done at home. Its third run was in a real hot race which Pepperone Pete won, over 2m on firm ground! Interesting to note it also carried 11st 13lbs that day, 7lbs more than horses like Master Mahogony and the winner, it finished last without being put in the race, not surprisingly. Well tomorrow its in a really poor race at Stratford, the top weight is rated 98, Pepperone Pete was rated 128 just to give you a clue about the class of this race. Also its now back with the original trainer and having ran its 3 races he also gets a proper handicap mark for the first time which is just 90, and running over the right trip. Purely on form you couldnt fancy it one bit, i just get the feeling this has been laid out for a good handicap mark, watch it and learn tomorrow, its pay day maybe another day but i just wouldnt be surprised to see it run well.
