230 Southwell - Jaoka Du Gord (20/1) Had this one down for a big run for sometime and maybe a race like todays could be his chance to take advantage of a terrific handicap mark. Fully two stone lower today than he was when running well behind Sonovafushi at Newbury, going well when unseating, reasons for pulling up in Heavy on comeback and again when the ground was like concrete, could be looking for too many excuses but dont be surprised if he pops up one day at 20/1. Andy Thornton could have rode the 3rd fav but chose this one instead.

Doubt it has the class to trouble the favorite unless there are any accidents. However 3rd place in a group one race over 2m 110y in January suggests otherwise. Clearly has a bit of ability and If it can reproduce that sort of form this afternoon it could snatch a place.
