Re: Pontefract 25/05/07 I don't like backing short priced horses but there are 2 I fancy tonight at Ponty. Grand Fleet 7.30 Was doing all its best work late on over 5f, will be suited by step up to 6f and can win tonight. Aaaim to Storm only just held on in a poor class 6 auction maiden and Burnwynd Boy could not have been well fancied at 50-1 when winning on softer ground over the 6f. I expect Grand Fleet to take this. The others look a poor bunch. Sky More 8.00 Jarvis only sends the one horse and I think Robinson only has the one ride. Won easily with something in hand lto when drawing clear and being eased but that was on soft. I'd expect it to run well on good ground and it looks like the main danger is Colorado Rapid which was one paced and disappointing at Thirsk lto. Both run off 84 but I prefer Sky More as that looks better than the bare form even though Colorado Rapid has a Group 1 entry.
