nastro 1888 Posted May 24, 2007 Share Posted May 24, 2007 This boy is playing some sh1t-hot stuff just now, having won another tour event last week and already won the masters at Augusta - hes available at 66/1 for each of the 3 remaining majors, the u.s open in 2 weeks time is usually favoured for the big-hitters and zach isnt the longest on the circuit but is incredibly accurate, The British open is at carnoustie this year and if ( when :lol ) the wind blows it can leave it anyones tournament ( as paul lawrie proved 10 yrs ago ). My local bookie offers top 6 for E/W for golf competitions ( and matches any other bookmaker price ) - surely for someone in such good form its a probability that he will finish in the top 6 in at least 1 of these tournaments to almost guarentee a nice profit ( if not win 1 of them ) 16/1 to finish in the top 6 for the inform player of the year isnt too big an ask surely ? basically hes about 11/2 to finish in the top 6 of any one of the 3 remaining majors - this looks value to me. Still got to bet for US open (why are some sportsbooks such a pain when you open a new account? arggggh) Do you regularly tip about golf ? Vaga, I had a tonne on woods for last years open @ 6/1 that obliged ( argueably tiger had personal problems with regard to his fathers death that pushed the price out ) but he is the greatest golfer in history and I knew he would win. I dont, in general, bet on golf but I play golf and have a vested interest in anything on the t.v, but watched zach johnson over the last couple of months and reckon this guy is a superb player and more importantly in-form and as posted above, well priced to make some dosh from it.
