Re: Poker Player Mag and Pacific Poker UK Open Freeroll

I uninstalled my original Pacific Poker, and then downloaded from the link it said in PP mag - (which should enable existing customers to register) Tried to register for first tourney and wasnt allowed - anyone managed to register yet , who wasn't a new customer ??
Same problem here, have written on the poker player forum about it and they are trying to sort it out. A lot of others in the same boat.

Re: Poker Player Mag and Pacific Poker UK Open Freeroll

Martyn, I am sorry to hear that you have experienced problems with registering for one of our tournaments and we apologise for the inconvenience that you have been caused. I appreciate that you have followed the information in the magazine however as this has not enabled you to register for the freeroll would you kindly follow the procedure below, To Un-install your software. Please click on start/settings/control panel. Click on the add-remove programs icon. Scroll down until you reach the Pacific Poker software and remove it. Go to C:/program files and delete the Pacific Poker folder that may still be there. Clear your internet cache The way in which you clear your Internet cache is the following: 1. Open up a Windows Internet explorer window. 2. Select the "options" tab on the top left hand side of the screen. 3. Go down the list of menus and select "Internet Options". 4. Click on the two buttons that say "Delete Cookies", and "Delete Files". Add Pacific Poker site to your trusted sites. To do this, go directly to "Internet Options", within the control panel. This will open up another box and then click on the ?Security Tab?. Near the top you should see "Trusted Sites" click on this, another box will open, on the left of this you should be able to ?Add sites?. Type the following: https://www.pacificpoker.com and add or save whichever it asks. Martyn The most important thing to do is to open your Firewall Ports Although you may not believe you are using one, some operating systems have their own in built firewall. A firewall will act as a filter for information packets, both entering, and leaving your computer, in an attempt to deny unauthorized access. Unless you allow it to both receive from, and send to our site, you will keep experiencing these problems. In order to fix this, you will have to open the following ports on your computer:701, 4095, 4096, 7100, 7200, 7500, 8500, 8520 I would advise you though, that you contact your internet service provider (ISP) for directions on opening these ports, or a technical specialist. Martyn, once you have done this please reinstall our software using the following link www.888.com/pp-tvstar_ (http://www.888.com/pp-tvstar) And register a new account. This should then allow you to register for the restricted freerolls. Martyn, thank you for your patience and understanding. Kind regards, James Bo. Not sure I fancy opening my Firewall Ports - even if I knew how to !

Re: Poker Player Mag and Pacific Poker UK Open Freeroll I used my new computer to download from the poker player page, I did NOT have pacific on this computer before even though I had an account on my old computer therefore I think this is a load of rubbish. I did not make a new account as I thought it was against their rules to have two accounts.

Couldn't even download the software from the PP link on my PC as it insisted a version was already 'running' (deleting the old software made no difference !) So also downloaded it on my new laptop so was for the first time and am now entered for tomorrow as RunaD. An attempt to use an existing account did not work :(

Re: Poker Player Mag and Pacific Poker UK Open Freeroll I phoned the nice asian gentleman on their live support (freephone for a change). He said: - Uninstall existing software Clear cookies, cache and all temp files Install new software via the PP link and register a different account!! I asked was this OK having more than one account - and he said yes - i said multi regging tastic (but he didn't understand) Anyway bingo it worked and I'm in :ok

Update on mine - two emails today from 888 advising multiple accounts not allowed so they have closed two of them. I can however keep the new one from this week - possibly chose that one because I made a deposit into it for the first time ! (to qualify for a series of freerolls). Two other previous accounts didn't work when I tried them a few days ago so they must have been stopped previously without me being advised, and that still leaves one other which I shall ask them to close also as I have no problem with what they have done. Good luck anyone in tonight. :ok
