Re: LAYS from a winning tipster Interesting Jack, he's often on Racing UK, i dont get the Mail so didnt realise he had a 'lay' section. Does he normally lay favs or a mixture? I would suspect you'd need a high strike rate (over 85%) to make it pay. I know you said you were 'laying' more and more nowadays and it was proving sucessful, do you just select Horse Racing or the football aswell. What sort of a strike rate are you achieving and at what odds do you look for, if any. A system that is doing the rounds just concentrates on odds under 5/2 and only certain types of race, i tend to take each race on its merits and if i cant choose between two or three horses i tend to lay the fav, rating it as the worst value. Not doing it serious enough to be honest but thinking about going down that road. Find it a very interesting subject, sorry for being nosey but we dont get many threads on laying anymore.
