Re: APAT Scottish Pictures & Next Online Event It is getting to be a bit of a sham and APAT should do something to clear up the situation. In Cardiff there were 3 pro's I spotted. Roberto Romanello who does make hundreds of thousands from poker and recently placed big in the GUKPT said he gets away with it because his dad owns a fish and chip shop and he works in there sometimes :rollin:rollin

Re: APAT Scottish Pictures & Next Online Event Ok - rather than just saying it's bad as it is at the moment, have we any suggestions for how it may be better defined/restricted? Maybe it could be based on cash winnings over the last 12 months? As listed on the the Hendon Mob website? Say anyone who has over $50,000 prize money is too much of a big-time player to enter? This may well trap a lot of amateurs too though .... Fenners for example would be close to being ineligible, but is clearly not a pro (actually his Sun win was over a year ago, so maybe not)..... ANy other ideas? I can see the problem for APAT - it's difficult to have a clear and concise rule.........

Re: APAT Scottish Pictures & Next Online Event This is the current APAT rule....

Definition Of An Amateur Player The dictionary defines an amateur as "a person who engages in an art, science, study, or athletic activity as a pastime rather than as a profession." For the avoidance of doubt, Membership of the Amateur Poker Association & Tour is not available to any individual who earns his or her SOLE income as a result of a) playing poker or b) utilising their poker expertise to supplement their poker income away from the table, for example as a poker journalist.
