GaF Posted April 6, 2007 Share Posted April 6, 2007 Blue Square Poker Leagues To coincide with the launch of the all new Grosvenor UK Poker Tour, our leagues this year will now reward the Playoff winner with a seat in the subsequent leg of the Tour, thus allowing everyone a shot at an even bigger live prize pool! The new qualification structure for the GUKPT has attracted a host of new tournament talent to Blue Square so the leagues should now be more competitive than ever. Once more this month we will see who has skill (and luck!) to top the tables at the end. To coincide with the launch of our all new software, there have been a few tweaks made to the League structure along with extra prizes being added and more players being involved in the final prize events. See below for full details. Good luck! Classic League The April Classic League will commence on Monday April 9th and run through to Sunday April 29th. The top finishers in the following tournaments will be awarded Classic League points: Monday 8.15pm$10 NL Hold’em Freezeout $200 Added Tuesday 8.15pm$5 NL Hold’em Rebuy $100 Added Wednesday 8.15pm$15 PL Hold’em Freezeout $300 Added Thursday 8.15pm$5 PL Omaha Rebuy $100 Added Sunday 8.15pm$25 NL Hold’em Freezeout $500 Added Points will be awarded for the top finishers in each event as follows: 1st 13pts2nd 10pts3rd8pts4th7pts5th6pts6th5pts7th4pts8th3pts9th2pts10th - 18th 1ptUpon the conclusion of Event 15 after 3 weeks of intense competition the top 20 players in the league table will be invited to take part in a special $1000 freeroll event to be held on Saturday May 5th at 6pm. On top of this the players occupying the top 3 positions in the league will also win an entry into the GUKPT League Playoff (detailed below). Super League The April Super League will commence on Monday April 9th and run through to Sunday April 29th. The top finishers in the following tournaments will be awarded Super League points: Monday 10pm$100 NL Hold’em Freezeout - $500 Added Tuesday 10pm$100 NL Hold’em Freezeout - $500 Added Wednesday 10pm$100 NL Hold’em Freezeout - $500 Added Thursday 10pm$100 NL Hold’em Freezeout - $500 Added Sunday 10pm$150 NL Hold’em Freezeout Points will be awarded for the top finishers in each event as follows: 1st 13pts2nd 10pts3rd8pts4th7pts5th6pts6th5pts7th4pts8th3pts9th2pts10th - 18th 1ptUpon the conclusion of Event 15 after 3 weeks of intense competition the top finishers in the league table will be awarded the following cash prizes into their accounts: 1st $1500 2nd $750In addition the top 7 players in the league table will be joined by the top 3 players in the Classic League to take part in the GUKPT League Playoff. This playoff will take place on Wednesday 2nd May at 8pm and the winner will win entry to the £1000+50 GUKPT Leg 5 Main Event at Grosvenor Casino Brighton, 17th-20th May, plus £200 expenses. 2nd place will receive entry to a $250 GUKPT satellite of their choice, and 3rd place will receive entry to a $100 GUKPT satellite of their choice. Terms and Conditions Classic League Terms 1. Players participating in the each of the 15 Blue Square Classic League tournaments from Monday April 9th to Sunday April 29th earn points towards the league. Points are awarded as follows: 1st - 13 pts, 2nd - 10 pts, 3rd 8 pts, 4th - 7 pts, 5th - 6 pts, 6th - 5 pts, 7th - 4 pts, 8th - 3 pts, 9th 2 pts, 10th–18th – 1pt 2. The tournaments that count towards the league are the 15 Blue Square Classic League events taking place between Monday April 9th to Sunday April 29th on bluesqpoker.com at 8.15pm BST Mon-Thur and Sunday evenings. 3. The three players with the most points at the end of the league will be invited to take part in the GUKPT League Playoff (see Super League Terms & Conditions below) 4. In the event of a tie for 3rd place, the player with the greatest number of final table finishes over all 15 events will be receive the Playoff place. If players are still tied then a countback of 1st places, 2nd places etc for each player will be made until a winner is confirmed. 5. The top 20 players in the final standings will also be invited to take part in a special $1000 Freeroll event on Saturday May 5th at 6pm. 6. In the event of a tie for 20th place, all the players tied for 20th place will be invited to take part in the Freeroll. In such an event, the number of players participating in the Freeroll may exceed twenty. 7. The prizes are not refundable, exchangeable or transferable 8. If any of the top 3 players are unable to accept their seat in the GUKPT League Playoff, for any reason, the seat will be offered to the player finishing in 4th place and then subsequently to the next placed finisher, until all seats have been accepted. 9. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time. 10. No correspondence will be entered into. 11. The promoter is Blue Square Ltd of 6th Floor, 3 Sheldon Square, Paddington Central, London, W2 6ER. 12. The promotion is not open to employees of Blue Square or any other Rank Grp Ltd company. In the event of a tie for 1st place, the player with the greatest number of final table finishes over all 15 events will be deemed the winner. If players are still tied then a countback of 1st places, 2nd places etc for each player will be made until a winner is confirmed. The same rules apply for 2nd position. The top 7 players in the final standings will also be invited to take part in a special GUKPT League Playoff event along with the top 3 players in the Classic League. This playoff will take place on Wednesday 2nd May at 8pm and the winner will win entry to the £1000+50 GUKPT Leg 2 Main Event at Grosvenor Casino Brighton, 17th-20th May, plus £200 expenses. 2nd place will receive entry to a $250 GUKPT satellite of their choice, and 3rd place will receive entry to a $100 GUKPT entry of their choice. In the event of a tie for seventh place, all the players tied for seventh place will be invited to take part in the GUKPT League Playoff. In such an event, the number of players participating in the League Playoff may exceed ten. In accordance with UK legislation, the winner of the GUKPT League Playoff will (if not already) be required to become a member of the Grosvenor Casino, Brighton, in order to gain admittance to the casino to take part in the event. Blue Square makes no warranty of acceptance of any such membership application. Grosvenor Casino membership rules apply. The prizes are not refundable, exchangeable or transferrable If the GUKPT League Playoff winner is unable to accept their prize, for any reason, the prize will be offered to the player finishing in 2nd place and then subsequently to the next placed finisher, until the prize has been accepted.
