Question for you.

Why does a Race Horse get exempt from being quarantined. Any other animal being brought into the country from abroad has to be quarantined. But why not race horses. Beef or Salmon is being flown in from Ireland today but escapes all quarantine why? And I dont believe its to do with the horses medical I think its something else. anyone?

It could be to do with the "Passports" that horses have. That and the fact we and Ireland have not had a rabies outbreak for several years. It could be that we have an agreement with Ireland that race horses are exempt form quarantine. :unsure I have found out that any horses going to America have a short quarantine period beford they can race. No doubt someone will know for sure. :ok
