Turko was high class over hurdles and has hardly put a foot wrong over fences either, his only defeat coming vs My Way de Solzen. This is a tough race, and his toughest ask to date, hence the price but as a 5 year old, he receives a generous weight allowance. 5 year olds have a 1 winner from 6 record in this race in recent years and the 5 losers have all acquitted themselves well, which gives me belief that Turko has the ability to run into a place here, with course and distance fine for him. He wont want it too soft but the weather forecast suggests we are looking at Good to Soft ground come Wednesday so he should be fine on that count too. He rates as the best each way value in the race for me.
