Howdy all... I have been playing Pacific Poker online at 888.com because a few friends play there...Have been playing some cash games and some sit and goes with varying degrees of success all with play money on the Practice play thing. I checked the Cashier's button to see how much I had made and there was an icon for a thing called Comp Points where i had earned around $40 in money for 4000 points based on whatever was happening as I played...These points can be converted but not sure what to, and how it all works. Does anyone know what happens when you convert the points to $$$? Do you have to open a money account or something and they credit you with the $$$. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. :ok Many thanx to the people who suggested reading Harringtons Holdem Vol 1 as I believe it is one book that can really improve your game...More in the sense that it stops you losing money by playing better hands in position, and winning more when you enter a pot...Less betting and more winning so to speak...Can put you on the path to some consistent rewarding Poker...Been playing $1000 buy in 10 man tournaments recently which are Sit and Go and regularly finishing Top 1/2/3 after reading his book...Easier to have a crack when it's play money though :dude Cheers :cheers

Re: Pacific Poker advice... Best advice with Pacific Poker is probably not to play there - hate the software (as do most I believe) - they also infest your machine with Casino on Net Spyware (run antispyware software and it will find it!!) Don't know the specifics of what you are talking about - but my guess would be that it is bonus cash you have earnt - and that to actually get it, you need to play x raked hands per dollar (similar to the cash you are given as a deposit bonus at most sites) ... but I'm guessing.... Sounds like you should be ready to give up on the play money tables and play some "proper" poker - don't have to risk your own cash - but you should at least move up to playing some freerolls....
