Pokerzone National Poker Cup Pokerzone Cup Poker TV station launches massive new national freeroll competition, and everyone is invited
By InsidePoker February 2007
Pokerzone is the home of award-winning show Poker Night Live, and the channel that PokerPlayers up and down the country tune to for news and views. The TV channel has announced a new series of poker tournaments that they will be holding, the Pokerzone National Poker Cup. Coming soon to all regions in the UK, it's a chance to become the Pokerzone National Poker Cup Champion, experience the heady heights of TV stardom and win vast amounts of cash. Pokerzone is spreading the net wide and everyone in the UK has the chance to compete, on a local level. Dividing the country into 9 regions, Pokerzone is creating the most inclusive free poker competition the UK has ever seen, and the great thing is, because it's free, you've got nothing to lose! The competition will consist of 81 online sub-regional qualifiers, 9 regional semi-finals and one National Final. That means everyone in the UK is just three steps away from becoming the Pokerzone National Poker Cup Champion 2007. On top of the glory, prestige and cash you can win for yourself, you will also have the chance to win glory for your town, team, force or squad. Remember, this is about finding the best player, from the best team. So if you are a fireman, captain or a fan of a football team, member of a society or even the manager of a shop, you can test your skills against the rest of the nation and your regional rivals, to prove you have what it takes. In order to take part, players must choose a region and sub-region to represent and have a promotional code. Players are only allowed to play in one sub-regional qualifier. Promotional codes are available from the many clubs, societies, companies and press promoting the event in the local regions. Every sub-regional qualifier and semi-final round will be broadcast live on SKY on Poker Night Live, and will feature commentary and analysis from some of Britain's best poker players. Winners from each of the 9 semi-finals will progress to the National Final, which will be held under the cameras and lights of a London TV Studio. Players will compete to become Pokerzone's National Poker Cup Champion and to win the big money. This looks set to be a massive compeition and it's great that it's accessible to so many. Check the pokerzone site for more info and further entry details.
