Melbourne are easily the better side as far as depth and skill go, but Cairns are a team which seem to lift when at home. They know a loss here will end their season and send Melbourne through to next weeks Grand Final against Brisbane. They will be looking for big game players such as Martin Cattalini, Darnell Mee & Anthony Stewart to have big games, it will also be important they get an impact from their supporting players tonight and that list includes Aaron Grabeu, Kevin Owens & Damon Thornton. They proved they are capable of getting good wins with their marvellous effort across the border against Perth last week, but this will be alot tougher for them. Melbourne will prefer to go straight to the final rather than go to a 3rd match and they will go all out for the win here. Their squad has exceptional talent and they have seemed to have peaked at the end of the season much the same as last season which is bad news for Cairns. I'll be taking Melbourne for the win tonight in a close one, they are at a good price of $1.65 and even better to win Under 10.5 at $2.55. Cairns are capable of causing an upset here and forcing a third game, but Melbourne are just too good in my opinion and should get the job done. The Grand Final begins next week between Brisbane & Melbourne with a best of 5 series. Brisbane will host 3 while Melbourne will host 2 as Brisbane finished higher in the home and away.
