Software Agreement 09/02/07 Sportingbet plc is pleased to announce its continued partnership with Boss Media AB ("Boss"), one of the World's leading suppliers of systems for digitally distributed gaming software. As part of a three year casino and poker contract, Sportingbet will continue to use Boss software to power both its casino and poker offerings for its European based websites. In addition, Sportingbet will combine its Paradise Poker players with the Boss network further enhancing the player liquidity pool. Sportingbet will retain the Paradsie poker brand and migrate all Paradise players to Boss in due course. During the three months ended 31 October 2006, rake from the Boss powered European poker platform amo9unted to £4.3m, up 72% year on year. The Paradise poker platform generated rake from non-US platers of £3.8m, up 9% year on year. Daily active real money players on both systems amount to approximately 6,500 each, however the greater liquidity on th Boss system, as it is a shared network with other Boss licencees, means yield per active player are approx. 60% higher from the Boss players as compared to Paradise Poker players. By combining all poker players in one network we aim to maximise yields from all players. The combination of the two poker businesses will provide some cost savings for the Group, however this will be offset to some extent by the loss of revenue that may occur as a result of migrating players from one platform to another. The redundancy of the Group's Paradise Poker software will result in further exceptional cost of approximately £55m representing the write-off of the remaining carrying value of this asset and associated costs. As previously indictaed, Sportingbet will announce its results for the second quarter on 28 February 2007. Andrew McIver, Sportingbet group Chief Executive, said: "This deal combines all out poker players in one destination, maximising liquidity whilst reducing the complexity of running two seperate poker operations. The addition of the Paradise Poker players to the Boss poker network will make the Boss network on of the largest in Europe." Johan Berg, Boss Media Chief Executive Officer said: "The partnership with Sportingbet is material to the success of Boss Media and is one very important reason that we are one of the leading providers of e-Gaming software. The stregthened partmership will enable the two companies to work together to bring second to none e-Gaming products to the market." Sportingbet Plc (020 7184 1800) Andrew McIver, Group Chief Executive Simon Gregory, Director of Business Development Smithfield Consultants George Hudson (020 7903 0669) Libby Young (020 7903 0609)

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss Well Paradise froze on me about 3 times tonight. After initial problems it had been OK recently. Also the 'hover' information hasn't worked the last 2 days so I don't know who is disconned or how many chips are being bet. I'm also convinced Paradise is very heavy on resources as I'm sure everything else runs slow when I have it on. And I'm fed up of pop ups and screen overlays. So hurrah from me. :cow :clap Main problem with going back to Boss is Sunday night's clash with Virgin. Time to download onto that laptop. :ok

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss :eek :wall I love Boss Media and have 7 different accounts/sites - I only play on 5 of them though. I have had a winge now and then with the freeze problems and the poor live support/tech support but have not experienced as many problems as others. BUT I have liked playing on Paradise, it has been enjoyable playing there.

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss

can we add a vote to this thread as to whether the move back is good or bad news ? not so we can get the decision reversed but so that anyone who votes yes is barred from complaining when boss starts blobbing every other night ! ;)
Done :ok I'm gutted. :sad

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss Overall I'm pleased, I know Boss is far from the best stability wise but although more stable Paradise had problems for me as well. In particular those bloody annoying pop ups, but like Avon, the last couple of days the hover function hasn't worked. I also didn't like the always on top windows as it makes it difficult trying to play more than one site at a time.

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss I prefer Boss and have moved to other Boss sites since SO went to Paradise. I like the Boss skin and the structures of the MTT/STTs. Paradise has not been good to me over the last couple of months, until tonight when I won the Safety net :D

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss i've mentioned on another thread that I believed the Paradise Software was outdated - although the gampeplay was OK, and the cash games where soft. I don't play much on boss sites , so I'll probaby only play the PL games, and find another site to play cash games on.

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss Only problem with Paradise, that was pissing me off was, that I could hardly play any other poker site. It was just totally slowing down everything else (especially Prima sites). I was always folded, before I even managed to press any button. No complains really with moving back to Boss.

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss I must admit I do find some aspects of Paradise frustrating. Like always shoving the table to the front - as already said it makes multi-tabling difficult. And I've also had dreadful connections with it recently. On the flip side, I really like the layout and setup of Boss sites - it's just the fcukin lags you get and 5 minutes without cards etc etc :wall All in all I guess they're both as bad as each other! :lol

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss The one thing I don't like about Paradise is that when somebody bets, it just displays a pile of chips and doesn't have a number next to it saying how much it is. If I wanted to count chips, I'd play live poker. ... or have I just not yet found the option to make it do what I want?

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss Hovering over the chips with the mouse pointer usually displays the number of chips .... however it doesnt seem to have been working for a few days :unsure It also has to be the active window ..... so if you're multitabling you usually have to click then hover ...... as you say, very annoying ..... would be far better if the number were always displayed (even INSTEAD of the chips!!!)

Being a mathmetician Slap, surely you look at the "Pot + Bets" display at the top of the table window and then when someone bets you instantly calculate the difference?! :tongue2

Do you have two computers ? I've only ever been able to put 4 on this PC, think a long time ago it was 3. I take it the old Sporting Odds software will be used ? (i.e user name), otherwise if I need to register another account it'll block me.

Re: Paradise Poker switching networks ......... to Boss You can download as many Boss accounts as you like, HOWEVER you are only able to set up 4 accounts on a PC ........ if you rebuild your PC then the "count" is reset to zero. If you set up your accounts on an alternative PC, then there is no limit to the number of Boss accounts you can set up and once set up you may run them on your main machine .... but only one skin at a time.....

I did open the other accounts on an old PC, but downloaded them onto my current one, when I upgraded. From what you say does this mean I could open another four accounts on this PC too ?
