Osesame
Tottenham Hotspur's bye into the last 16 of the Uefa Cup has been confirmed after Feyenoord's appeal against their explusion was rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The Dutch club were kicked out of the tournament by European football's governing body Uefa following crowd trouble earlier in the competition during their clash with French side AS Nancy in the group stage. Spurs were due to travel to Rotterdam next Thursday but will now go straight through to the next round of the Uefa Cup where they will face either Braga or Parma. In addition to upholding Uefa's decision to expell Feyenoord, the CAS also imposed an additional fine of 100,000 Swiss francs (£41,000). The CAS said: "The court has dismissed the appeal filed by Feyenoord Rotterdam against the decision issued by Uefa to exclude the Dutch club from the Uefa Cup for the season 2006 / 2007."
