Change of username

I received the following email this morning: Hi, I'm Valiant23 on PuntersLounge and a moderator. I'm e-mailing you to ask you to change your username as we have an active poster who goes by the name of Hedonist. http://www.punterslounge.com/forum/member.php?u=8119 I think that having 2 names so similar in the same part of PuntersLounge will only lead to confusion. You can e-mail [email protected] or post a request in this forum here; http://www.punterslounge.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2 and it can be sorting quite painlessly. I promise. Thanks Valiant23 Can I make an argument against, please? 1. I've been using the nick "Hedonists" on various forums, chat rooms, etc for about ten years now. 2. I own the domain hedonists.org and have done for about seven years. 3. Errm, thats it. Now an argument for: 1. As soon as I saw there was a poster (interloper :eek ) using the name "Hedonist", I knew it was only a matter of time before I'd have to change. 2. Hedonist has been active on PL for much longer than Hedonists. Oh, well. I lose. Can my new nick be "Tom Hedonist" please? On a side note can I just say thanks for the polite way in which this was handled. (Another testament to this great forum!) I've had a similiar situation on another forum, where I was told "We've changed your nick to Billy Sollox."

Re: Change of username Hi mate, That email that Valiant gave you doesn't exist (it's team@) by the way! :lol Maybe we'll change Valiant's to Billly Sollox. ;) Yeah, I see your point mate, but it has to be first come, first served also. Although, your new name still has Hedonist in it, it's definitely different, so I'll go change it to that now. :ok Thanks for understanding. ;)
