Recommended Posts

you may or may not have noticed butr in the daily threads i have been posting up trial selections. Today i changed the criteria to place only & it returned 5 from 6 with a nice profit. These are the results since 02/01/07: 02/01/07 Folkstone - 1st 3/1 02/01/07 Folkstone - 1st 2/7 02/01/07 Ayr - unplaced 02/01/07 Ayr - unplaced 02/01/07 Ayr - unplaced 02/01/07 Ayr - unplaced 03/01/07 wetherby - 3rd 8/1 03/01/07 Wetherby - 2nd 12/1 03/01/07 wetherby - unplaced 03/01/07 wetherby - unplaced 03/01/07 Wetherby - 1st 11/4 03/01/07 Wetherby - unplaced 04/01/07 Fontwell - unplaced 04/01/07 Fontwell - 2nd 8/1 04/01/07 Fontwell - unplaced 04/01/07 Fontwell - 3rd 33/1 04/01/07 Fontwell - 1st 4/9 04/01/07 Fontwell - unplaced 05/01/07 Musselburgh - unplaced 05/01/07 Newcastle - 1st 9/4 05/01/07 Newcastle - 2nd 13/2 05/01/07 Newcastle - unpl 06/01/07 Sandown - unplaced 06/01/07 Sandown - unplaced 07/01/07 Plumpton - 3rd 5/4 07/01/07 Plumpton - 1st 2/7 07/01/07 Plumpton - 3rd 7/2 07/01/07 Plumpton - 1st 5/4 07/01/07 Plumpton - 2nd 15/8 07/01/07 Plumpton - unplaced 08/01/07 Taunton - 2nd 20/1 08/01/07 Taunton - 1st 4/5 08/01/07 Ludlow - 3rd 5/1 08/01/07 Ludlow - unplaced 08/01/07 Ludlow - 2nd 4/1 08/01/07 Ludlow - 4th 11/2 In total 35 selections 8 winners (highest 3/1 shortest 2/7) 12 places (highest 33/1) 15 unplaced Longest losing sequence was 4 Longest winning sequence on place returns would have been 5 Level stakes on win only would show a 15.91pt loss to 1pt level stake I cannot work out the place P/L however i am pretty certain it would be in credit with 33/1, 25/1 & 20/1 all placed. I intend to carry on running this a place only system from now. What is the system? it is based on trainer records at each course. The trainer has to have a percentage win rate of more than 25% for that particular type of event i.e Hurdles / Chases. Considering these are top trainers, i was surprised by some of the place prices.
