bowles10 Posted January 7, 2007 Share Posted January 7, 2007 Big race is the Sussex national at 2.10 Nicholls horse GEEVEM will be strongly fancied in this however only 1 chase run out of only 4 career runs puts me off a bit. This is a dour staying race & its asking a lot for an inexperienced horse. Taking the favourite on with TOUCH CLOSER who looks an interesting bet tomorrow as connections were well pleased LTO after the horse won 1st time up after an 8 month break & made this race its target. Paddy Brennan rides which is a big plus. DUNBRODY MILLAR won this last year in a canter on a very soft surface. However the horse has been on the go quite a bit this year & is 19lb higher than when last year. The other 2 with a chance are DEFERLANT & ZIMBABWE however both of these need to improve much more than the others. I will go with Touch Closer to get the better of Geevem.
