Re: Cheltenham - a few hints Some quite powerful stats from last years festival to consider - was it a freak? in the last 75 hurdle races at Cheltenham, only 1 horse (in 1996) has won wearing any form of headgear! --------------- every horse that won last year at the festival had either finished 1st or 2nd on their previous outing. ---------------- last year 16 of the 20 winners started no bigger than 10/1 ---------------- 19 of 20 races last year were won by horses aged 9 or younger ----------------- out of the 20 winners last year only 1 horse had fallen previously in the season out of 59 races (Moscow flyer excluded as he did not fall only ran into the back of another horse!) -------------------
