Banker Bets - Please Take a Look

Recommended Posts

Hello, I've been "lurking" in the shadows of the "At the Races" section for quite some time now and have been following the "Banker" thread with great interest for the last month or so. Last night, armed with too much time and not enough imagination, I sat down with my trusty spreadsheet and went back through the Bankers for November to check a few things out. I'm sure one or two of you do your own thing similar to this but if you don't then you might find these results interesting. I have only taken the "Top Five" into account here - with the exception of the 9th November when, for some reason, there were six selections in the Top Five (!!??!! :\ ). Altogether in November, there were 143 selections. 74 of these were Winners, giving you an impressive 51.75% hit rate. Chronologically (i.e. the bet in the 13:20 would come before the bet in the 15:30) your longest winning run came over the 25th and 26th of November where you hit seven successive winners. Your longest losing run came during the 4th and 5th of November when you had 5 losers on the bounce. Generally speaking however, there are rarely more than 1 or 2 losers on the trot. If you had started with a £100 betting bank and bet Level Stakes of £10 on each selection at SP. Your bank at the end of November would have more than doubled and would now be £209. Top Rated There were (obviously) 30 Top Rated selections. Of these, 18 won. This gives a 60% strike rate. Longest winning run was between 25th November and 30th November when you had 6 winners on the bounce. Longest losing run was between 21st November and 24th November when you had 4 losers on the bounce. £10 L.S. bets at SP would have seen your £100 bank grow to £146.40 by the end of November. Hot Picks Things got a little more interesting around the 9th November when ZuluWarrior started to highlight certain horses as "Hot Picks" so I started to look at how these fared. There were 23 Hot Picks. Of these 18 won. Giving a strike rate of 78%. Longest winning run was 9. Longest losing run was 2. Same routine as before, your £100 bank would have grown to £176.90 by the end of November. The obvious thing to look at next would be how things fare when the Top Rated is also a "Hot Pick" but there is insufficient data to make this worthwhile at the moment (it has happened 7 times and you have had four winners and three losers). Conclusion One month of data is nowhere near enough to draw any real conclusions but the signs are obviously there that you're doing a great job. Keep it up! I hope this has been of some interest to you and I hope I have got all my stats correct. I will probably continue to do this until I get bored of doing it so I'll keep you posted if it is of interest. By the way, on the "Dreaded Mondays" you have had 14 bets - 7 of which won giving you a 50% strike rate! :cow
