I go to Cheltenham every December for the Bula hurdle. Now called the Boylesports.com international hurdle. Okay so not got the same ring to it but due to the new sponsorship tripleing the prize money it should attract some very decent horses. Does anyone have any views on loosing the traditional names for races to be lost to sponsorship? Haitch

:welcome haitch, interesting 1st post opting for discussion rather than tips :ok Hope you find this forum the best there is! I have no problem with the name changes as it has to happen to keep the sport evolving, without sponsorship, racing would be poor. I still call things after their old names, like the Schweppes at Newbury (now the totesport trophy).
