David Pipe and Timmy Murphy

On a day named after the exceptional legend of Martin Pipe his son, David, has not had the best of days. With stable jockey Timmy Murphy on board 3 of his horses he has held them up and brought them into contention travelling like dreams. All looking as if they were going to play a part in the finish. However this is what happened. RACE 1 - Christdalo 2/1 fav. Came from a long way back to challenge going well. Comes to 2nd last about a length or 2 dow. and all but falls and surrenders about 10 lenghts at least. Was pulled up soon after. RACE 2 - Marcel 3/1 2nd fav. Wasnt running too well and looked a little off colour. Coming up to the 2nd last puts in a bad jump and catapults Murphy out of the saddle. RACE 3 - No runner. Murphy finishes 4th at 20/1 RACE 4 - No runners RACE 5 - Abragante well backed 3/1 fav. Comes from a long way back again after tracking eventual winner Butlers Cabin throughout the race. Comes to dispute it at the last and looked very likely winner. AGAIN the horse blunders and catapults poor Timmy Murphy out of the saddle. A very very unlucky day. Although I backed Butlers Cabin you have to feel for this unfortunate duo.
