A little help please (Race types)

Recommended Posts

Hi, Looking at the Curragh card, can anyone tell me what type of races these are, or where I can find info? Since its Irish racing there is less info, most of the english races state the race type in the title... The card is: 1:30 - Irish Pride Bakeries Race 2:05 - betfair.com Handicap (Premier Handicap) 2:40 - Shelbourne Hotel Goffs Fillies Five Hundred 3:15 - Irish National Stud Blandford Stakes (Group 2) (Fillies & Mares) 3:55 - Shelbourne Hotel Goffs Million 4:35 - The Sportsman's Challenge 5:10 - O2 Handicap The 2:05 and 5:10 are handicaps, and the 3:15 is a group (obviously) but what are the other 4? Handicaps? Maidens? Or is Massey was around would they be graded as "other" flat races? How can we tell? Specifically I'm interested in the 1:30, 2:40 and 3:55 but would like to know how to tell the difference with them all. C'mon you irish racing fans, help if you can! Thanks in advance! ZW
