WorkingForTheEnemy
Fallon hailed Russian Rhythm as "one of the best fillies" he has ever ridden after her retirement from racing on Tuesday. Owners Cheveley Park Stud called time on the four-year-old's brilliant career after Russian Rhythm failed to bounce back from a series of problems. The daughter of Kingmambo won the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes at Newbury in May, but subsequently strained a suspensory ligament and although she had been working her way back from that problem, Sir Michael Stoute's charge had failed to sparkle in her recent work. Shame to see such a great horse retired but I guess its better than something tragic happening due to pushing her too far. Her record was fantastic and was franked by the fact she was put to race against top class horses as the fillies couldnt provide any competition.
