Those who England will have to do without for the whole series are Vaughan, Jones and Giles - 3 key members in the Ashes winning side of last summer. Mixing with captains and things isn't going to help England at all I don't think and with no Flintoff for the 1st test and every chance of no Hoggard too Pakistan could go 1-0 up and not look back. Pakistan are an emerging force in World Cricket again and have some excellent young players coming through under the guidance of the excellent Bob Woolmer. In Inzamam-Ul-Haq they have a superb player who is as reliable as they come, he is one of a strong top order of batting and they have plenty of pace in their bowling lineup even without the injured Shoaib Akthar. He was only outscored by Inzamam and Mohammed Yousuf in that series. Having hit 2 half-centuries and a century in that series he'll know he can bat against these English bowlers. Originally I had my doubts whether his technique would hold up in English conditions but he's started the tour in superb fashion with 68 at Leicester and then knocks of 63 and 50 in the A game at Canterbury last week. He'll be confident coming into this series and if anyone can stop the main duo top scoring it could be the left-handed opener. 2pts I.Bell Top England Runscorer 12/1 Betdirect Ian Bell top scored in Pakistan with 313 runs at an average of 52.16 and that was a gutsy effort coming off the back of a poor Ashes series by his standards. He comes into this series not as a 1st team regular but will play the 1st test as Flintoff's replacement. He'll need a good start to keep his place for the remainder of the series but he'll have done his chances no harm with 74 and 50 in the England A vs Pakistan game.
