Personally, I fancy Takaloo. Don't know a great deal about either of these fighters though so would appreciate some advice. Seems to me that since Magee's incident he's done very little fighting. I'm not convinced he'll be in top shape here. His only fight since then was against Allan Vester, a 3 round blowout. So in 30 months he has fought 3 rounds, compared to Takaloo has fought 28 rounds in that time through 4 fights, including 2 fights for the WBU title and is certainly going to be prepared to go the distance should it be required. So in consideration of this, I couldn't be backing magee at 1/2. As I say, that's just my views on the fight. Looking for other opinions. skybluesam
Re: Tonight's Boxing Oh well, seems no one was interested. Hope someone backed takaloo though. Nice winner in the end for me.
TheRat
Re: Tonight's Boxing I didn't see this. No point saying what I would have backed now. Expect Barrera to win but odds are crap and I don't often bet rounds for the lower weights
stereoman
Re: Tonight's Boxing Barrera-Juarez was a draw. Just saw the fight. It can be argued that way. Personally, I thought Juarez had it.
stereoman
Re: Tonight's Boxing Would you Adam'n'Eve it? Cards added wrong, Barrera wins; A mistake in the addition of the scorecards resulted in Saturday's Marco Antonio Barrera-Rocky Juarez being announced to the Staples Center crowd and HBO television viewership as a draw. However, the scorecards were later retabulated and it was discovered that the actual scores were 115-114, 115-113 Barrera, 115-114 Juarez, so Barrera actually wins a majority decision. ========= UK books will go with whatever was said in the ring unlike various offshore books. UK books get a hammering from those who were 'idiot savant' enough to bet on the draw whilst offshore books are left off the hook but get thumped by those who bet on a Barrera win. TheRat
Re: Tonight's Boxing They were at it again Moments like this ruin boxing and its image, happens too much in America. Happened in Ireland last night with one judge scoring a draw in the Mcgee fight as well, but that did not affect the outcome
skybluesam
Re: Tonight's Boxing Yeah but Takaloo got the majority decision because 2 judges scored him a win. Also, the judge who scored the fight a draw must have cataracts or something
