Cleveland Indians @ Oakland Athletics Indians 1.95 (Mansion) 7 units CLE: RHP Jason Johnson (2-1, 3.41 ERA) OAK: RHP Kirk Saarloos (0-0, 5.14 ERA) Indians bats got a nice rally going yesterday winning 14-3. Indians have scored 27 runs in their last 3 games. Liking them to continue strong hitting against a right handed pitcher, which they are hitting very well against. Basically Oaklands batting has been below average the whole season, averaging 4.7 runs per game and a batting average of .206 as a team. today they are starting a guy that has only pitched out of the bullpen this season. It always takes a couple of starts for a pitcher to get in 100% condition and go deep into games after being in the bullpen for a long time. Kirk Saarloos has over 5 ERA this year and was 10-9 with a 4.17 ERA last year as A's 5th starter. Indians new acquisition Jason Johnson has had a good season so far, having a 2-1 record and a ERA of 3.41. Really fine odds here, probably will drop before game time. I will throw 7 units on the Indians. Chicago Cubs @ Arizona Diamondbacks Diamondbacks -1.5 2.72 (Mansion) 5 units ARI: RHP Juan Cruz (0-0, 2.85 ERA) CHC LHP Rich Hill (0-0, 0.00 ERA) Going to ride the Diamondbacks second day in a row. Cubs are in a deep funk right now and can't seem to get much runs on board at all. Last 5 games they have scored only 5 runs combined and do have pretty bad starter on the mound today. Rich Hill is a young promise, but has been anything but impressive in majors. He had 4 starts last year and went 0-2 with a 9.13 ERA. He is making his season debut today as Cubs are plagued by injuries of their pitching staff. Arizona will counter with Juan Cruz, who has been decent this season. He allowed 1 run and 2 hits, striking out 3 in 5 innings of work against SF. He has also pitched few times out of the bullpen. Arizona is hitting well against right handed pitchers and is on a 4 game winning streak. If they scored 5 against Maddux, they should be able to get some runs on board against Hill. I like their chances for a 2 game sweep here. Throwing medium stake on the Runline.
