RussP
I shall soon be posting a new system based around horses running in flat handicaps. Generally, prices shall range from 5/1 - 16/1 with the majority being around 7/1 - 9/1 I would guess. I would like advice on staking. For example, I hope to start with a bank of 500pts and would prob back EW singles. I hope for approx 15-20% winners with a further 30% to be placed. :unsure Don't laugh yet.:unsure Question: do I increase / decrease stakes as the bank inc / dec? do I keep to same stake for all bets? Any advice welcome as you guys are the experts. Thanks,
traf
Re: Staking Advice, please If the bets are of varying odds, my usual strategy is to ensure an equal return from a winner ie 2pts on a 10/1 shot and 20pts on a 2/1, in the "logic" that the 2/1 is 10 times more likely to win and they'd both return 40 pts. Now, I know it's not that simple, but it seems to work for me.
