Mlb 20/4

Going with the same teams than yesterday. Got a 4 units profit thanks to Diamondbacks yesterday. Todays pitching matchups are more favorable to Tampa and Philadelphia and i think Arizona should take the series also. Tampa Bay Devil Rays @ Boston Red Sox Devil Rays 2.55 (Pinnacle) 3 units BOS: RHP Tim Wakefield (1-2, 4.34 ERA) TB: LHP Scott Kazmir (1-1, 4.82 ERA) I'm going for the Tampa to avoid the Sweep here. They have their most promising young pitcher, Scott Kazmir on the mound today. After a tough season debut he has been very good. Last game he allowed 2 hits and 2 earned runs in 6 innings of work while striking out 6. He has allowed 4 runs in last 14.2 innings pitched. n six career starts against the Red Sox, Kazmir is 2-1 and has allowed just 12 earned runs and 29 hits in 38 2/3 innings while striking out 36. Tim Wakefield is quite ok pitcher also. Pretty average knuckleballer with a career era of 4.28. Last year Wakefield was 3-0 with a 3.09 ERA in five outings against Tampa. In his career dealing vs. the Rays Wakefield is 13-1 with a 2.96 ERA. That is pretty impressive record, but still Kazmir is the better pitcher here and i'm counting on Tampa to give their best tonight to avoid a sweep against a divisional opponent. Yesterdays game was a real fiasco from pitchers and defense on the field, when they allowed Red Sox to score 9 runs from 9 hits, committing 4 errors on the field. It Can only get better tonight. Washington Nationals @ Philadelphia Phillies Phillies -1.5 2.35 (Pinnacle) 6 units WAS: LHP Billy Traber (season debut) PHI: RHP Ryan Madson (1-0, 2.77 ERA) After a great comeback win 7-6 yesterday, i'm liking the Phillies a lot in this spot. They should be able to take the series and probably will do so with more than 1 run margin. Phillies starter Ryan Madson has been one of their best starters so far, posting a 2.77 ERA. For Nationals we have Billy Traber on the mound. The lefty is coming Tommy John reconstructive surgery on his left elbow and is making his first start in majors since sept. 16 2003. His career record is 6-9, 5.24 ERA. Altough he had a decent spring training, i don't trust him at all and there is high probability he will get pounded hard tonight. Phillies are really the better team and is concluding a 3 game series at home against a divisional opponent. They have won last 2 series on road after a horrible start and should take their first home serie win of the season here with ease. San Fransisco Giants @ Arizona Diamondbacks D'backs -1.5 2.91 (Pinnacle) 5 units SF: RHP Jamey Wright (1-0, 3.00 ERA) ARI: RHP Claudio Vargas (1-1, 4.82 ERA) Liking the Diamondbacks to take the serie also. San Fransisco is starting Jamey Wright who is off to a surprisingly good start and has allowed only 5 earned runs in first 15 innings pitched. Still, he has been very erratic and below average pitcher his whole season, posting a career record of 63-88, 5.10 ERA. He was pretty bad at Colorado last season and I don't think he can suddenly become an ace. He is going to fall down any game now, hopefully today. D'backs starter Vargas is pretty average also, but did show flashes of brilliance in his season debut allowing no runs, 2 hits and stiking out 6 in 6 innings of work at milwaukee. His last start was shaky when he allowed 8 hits and 5 runs in 3.1 innings of work against Houston. He is pretty enigmatic, but has a lot of potential. D'backs bats have been hot against Giants in first 3 games of this 4 game serie, scoring 26 runs and taking a 2-1 record. Expecting Arizona to continue good hitting and winning this serie. 2.91 for the runline warrants a play for me here.

Re: Mlb 20/4 Im going for boston -1.5 @2.2 I fancy this to be a highish scoring affair.Wakefield has a great record against tampa, but i can see him giving up a couple of long balls.Kazmir has great potential but, in fenway, trying to avoid the sweep wil be tough.I feel that the Boston bats can get to him early. As for Washington - Philly - Madsen is not as good as his current era suggests, and traber of tommy johns- well no one seems to get back into the groove straight away at the big league level after this. Over 9.5 runs @ 1.9 100 point double
