I don't know if any of you guys follow specific jockeys or use their rides to base judgement on your selections. For example, if a top jockey is booked by someone who they don't often ride for at a minor meeting then it is worth asking the question - why are they riding this horse today at this low-profile meeting? As a good friend of mine says - "They 'aint there for the air!" I tend to look at the following jockeys and if any of them aren't at the main meeting/s of the day... Dettori, Falllon, Hughes, T Quinn, Holland and I used to follow Spencer but now I guess it's Murtagh who rides for Loder. Today (Monday) Richard Hughes has opted to ride only 2 horses at Yarmouth rather than go to the main metting at Kempton where everybody else is. 2.40 Flowerdrum quoted 4/1 and 3.10 Balerno quoted 12/1 Let's see if he's there for a reason. Jockeys FLOWERDRUM will go off a fair bit shorter than 4/1, probably 2/1ish, and has a big chance I think. BALERNO looks to be well drawn. Good luck.
