Ok Here is the thing. I have a seat in the Laddies Poker Millions weekly final (the competition looks a little worrying:unsure). If I hadn't already been apprehensive of my skills, or lack thereof, I find its a shorthanded game. To say this is something I don't have a great deal of experience or expertise in would be the understatement of the week, so if anybody has any helpful advice they'd like to offer me I would be eternally grateful Cheers :ok oh- and deadline for useful hints and tips is 6pm BST today.

Re: Help! Can you teach me to play a 6max tourney? I mostly play short-handed, prefer it whenever I can find a tourney. Not sure my advice is worth the virtual paper it's written on, but a few things I'd bear in mind: Your starting requirements have to go down, I'd be raising with hands like KT 77, stuff like that, just generally playing more hands. Position becomes much more important, you'll pick up most of your chips playing position as oppose to cards, so try to mentally map the different playing types at your table and figure out in what order you'll be acting after the flop etc. Obviously should be doing that in any game, but much more important shorthanded. Try and establish some table dominance, you want people to think twice about playing with you, make sure your bets are big enough to force your opponents to make real decisions (tho hopefully without overcommitting yourself). About all I can think of, good luck! Edit: And one more thing - don't worry! It's really not that different.
