Rugby League: NRL - Round 1

Recommended Posts

Not sure how much interest there is for the NRL on PL, but thought I would post the handicaps for round 1. I love the NRL, but find it a totally different proposition when it comes to betting. (Smaller handicaps & better standard across the board) Thoughts are always welcome! :) Wests Tigers (+6) v St G-Illawarra Dragons (-4) Newcastle Knights (Scr) v Parramatta Eels (+2) Canterbury Bulldogs (-8) v Penrith Panthers (+8) Manly Sea Eagles (-10) v Canberra Raiders (+12) NZ Warriors (-2) v Melbourne Storm (+2) South Sydney Rabbitohs (+10) v Sydney Roosters (-8) Brisbane Broncos (-4) v North Qld Cowboys (+4) :ok

Re: Rugby League: NRL - Round 1

Brisbane Broncos (-4) v North Qld Cowboys (+4)
North Qld Cowboys (+4) or the 2.25 for a Cowboys victory could be value at the Suncorp Stadium. Brisbane will apparently name four debutants for the opener against last years beaten grand finalists. Coach Wayne Bennett has overlooked Origin forwards Corey Parker and Brad Thorn and has decided to put his faith in Schoolboy winger Darius Boyd, who will make his first grade debut, also ex-Dragons hooker Michael Ennis and former Roosters prop Ben Hannant will run out in the NRL for the first time in Brisbane colours. Futhermore veteran former Wests and Bulldogs half Shane Perry has was named on the bench. Brisbane welcomed back skipper Darren Lockyer (foot), Brett Seymour (shoulder), Shaun Berrigan (wisdom teeth), Justin Hodges (neck), David Stagg (hamstring) and Tonie Carroll (elbow) from injury. But how fit and match ready will these guys be??? Futhermore, Sam Thaiday (knee), Brent Tate (ankle) and Barry Berrigan (groin) are the big names still on the injury list.
