Cosmetic Bob
10PT EW EACH BET HAYDOCK 1.10: OLASO (10PT EW) Was 3 of 17 in very competitive 3m handicap hurdle on Paddy Power Gold Cup day at Cheltenham in November, wasn't disgraced behind a very progressive sort. hat form stands him in good stead in a big field like this. Ground is heavy which is likely to favour hold up horses and he is likely to be held up judging on prevous form. Represents top class connections of McCoy/O'Neill/McManus. O Neill has won this race 2 times in last 4 years. 1.40: FIRST GOLD/TYNEANDTHYNEAGAIN (BOTH 10PT EW) First Gold continues to drop down in a handicap and its only a matter of time until he shows the handicapper he is not a spent force yet by winning a decent handicap. Has very decent form in Grade 2 company last year. Was 2nd at this course on soft ground in the Peter Marsh giving more than a stone to Lord Transcend and was also 2nd in the Grade 2 Betfair Bowl at Aintree on good to soft ground so really he acts on all types of going. At 13, it looks like a proper stamina test on heavy ground is just what he needs these days. Also represents top class connections of McCoy/Doumen/McManus Tyneandthyneagain loves and excels in these mudlark staying handicap chases. Won the 4m1f Eider chase two years ago so stays well, is best on this type of ground and shapes well over a short trip last time out. Couldn't rule out at a big price. LINGFIELD 1.25: IT TAKES TIME (10PT EW) Going for last years winner, who acts on the course, stays well unlike others in this race (has ran some good races over 3m) and should act on the ground (has won on soft) Fondmort has stamina doubts whilist Our Vic has serious questons to answer and cannot be backed with much confidence as he has only completed in 1 of his last 5 races. UTTOXETER 3.35: WHEREAREYOUNOW (10PT EW) His recent form doesn't really inspire a great chance, but look back at his previous 2 runs before he hacked up in this race by 17 lengths last season in soft ground. He clearly relished the testing conditions that day and is 4lbs lower today. Could run a big race at a decent price. WINCANTON 3.20: TOLPUDDLE (10PT EW) I've backed him @ 150-1 for the Champion Hurdle :eek so i'll retain my faith and have him here!
