2000 Gueneas...I like Whipper to fly home...

...I realize that it's been awhile since a French raider wins this (Penkamp?) but that's because the good ones usually go for the French 2000...the prep race was sensational and I'm not sure the challengers are first rate (OCC is more hype than horse; Haafthd has distance limitations and Salford might be a late running sprinter)...anyway, would welcome others opinions...

Re: 2000 Gueneas...I like Whipper to fly home... I dont really like the race as it comes too early in the season & some horses are just more forward than others. Winner will come from 1st 5 in the betting but favs have a poor record (1 in 14 races i think?). Would therefore be looking at the next 4 but would need to be approx 6/-8/1 for an e/w bet so I would say: Whipper 6/1 Grey Swallow 8/1 Snow ridge 9/1 will narrow it down come saturday probably using the draw / ground/ speed as the deciding factor.
