Cosmetic Bob
SPOT THEDIFFERENCE (3.40 Punchestown) Surely we all know this is the 'Master' of Cross Country Races. Well today @ 3.00 the banks & hedges of Punchestown will enlightening him with instant effect, he absolutely comes alive at this type of course, he is absolutely dismal in any other type of race!!! The last time he ran at this course in April 2004 was when he destroyed the field by an easy 14 lengths, although that was 1m2f longer than today. And the next FOUR times he ran over the cross country fences at Cheltenham he won. He was disappointing last time, but that was carrying a huge weight and wasn't disgraced in defeat. Todyas race is a conditions event so he doesn't have a HUGE weight to carrying than the rest, although he is top weight, he is very well in here as he is the King of these events. The drop down in trip to 3m may be a worry for some punters, but the horses go relatively slow in these races and usually turn into a sprint finish which Spot TheDifference handled quite well at Cheltenham when winning so the drop down in trip shouldn't be much of a problem and should continue his form in these type of races with another win here
