New Jersey Nets v Detroit Pistons Detroit is performing very well this season, leading the Eastern Conference with a demonstrating 37-5 record and having the best record in the whole league, too. Moreover they have an impressive winning streak (they've won their last 11 games). Yeah, Pistons HC looks a clear bet tonight, but... Let's see the Nets! New Jersey's performance isn't so strong at first sight (22-20 record, 4 matches lost in a row), but their home record is pretty nice: 12-6. Their offence is very good, thanks to Carter (24.2 ppg, 4.3 apg), Jefferson (18.9 ppg, 3.8 apg) and Kidd (14.6 ppg, 7.9 apg). But their defence is quite the opposite: they have no player inside and I really don't know who will stop Rasheed and Ben Wallace. Well, it isn't enough: the Nets will miss Kidd, Jackson, McInnis and Jefferson is questionable: he missed the last practice due to the flu. On paper looks it obvious... I can't imagine a home win, but can the Pistons cover the spread? That's a big question and unfortunately it looks too big. We will see... Pick: Detroit -7 HC @ 1.94 with 6 units - Pinnacle

Agree tho, Detroit are one or 2 classes above the Nets (and everyone esle for that matter!) [Phil] So we have a combined 4-16 under trend saying that the total is simply too high. It's always scary taking the Suns under on the road, but Iverson looks to be out again for Philli, and that, combined with the coach concentrating soley on defense in the last few days, has seen the last 2 Philli games total 170 and 167.
